At only 19, teen Simon George has built an amazing body. Take a behind the scenes look at his effective muscle building workout and cardio approach.

What do you love most about bodybuilding?

I love the fact that everybody is different. There are certain things that work great for one person and don’t work at all for someone else. The journey of finding out exactly what works best for you is fantastic, seeing how your body changes and adapts over time is something that never fails to amaze me.

What are your future goals, dreams and plans?

I want to be recognized as the top fitness model/model on the planet! I know this is a big task, but I never settle for second place. I believe the only way you will get the best out of what you’re doing is if you want to be the best, and if you are willing to do everything you possibly can to get there.

Simon GeorgeI am a strong believer in pushing your body beyond its limits. I think it is vital to have someone there with you to spot you on those last few reps, this is how you push your body to a whole new level.

Also surround yourself with people who share similar goals to you. This will help keep you motivated and you can support each other all the way. It also makes you less tempted to fall off track.

What are some of your best training tips for someone who just wants to look good and ripped, but doesn’t want to compete?

I would advise them to do plenty of research, and make sure they know exactly how to train and diet. I would also advise them to aim for lean gains, which is putting on muscle with a minimal amount of fat. Therefore they will look in shape all year round.

Finding ways to stay motivated when you haven’t got a specific deadline is something that a lot of people cant handle. They stop all together. If you’re not training for a competition, set your own personal deadlines so that you are working towards something that has a time limit. This will allow you to push yourself that little bit harder.

What are some of the most common mistakes made when someone is trying to build muscle and/or get ripped?

Usually their diet. Diet is such a difficult topic and something that very few people get correct. If you have a good diet plan in place you will be able to transform your body in the exact way you want to. For example, if you are trying to lose fat but you are eating saturated fats all the time you are going to get annoyed at the fact you are not reaching your goals.

There is so much false information out there. So many people get sucked into it. It is always best to check the source of your information, and then double check it to make sure it is useful advice.

What are your best tips for getting ripped and shredded abs?

Again this is all about diet. If you are an overweight man with a high body fat percentage then you could have the best abs in the world but nobody can see them! This is simply because they are covered underneath layers of fat.

Get a good diet in place that will help you lose unwanted fat, and use a good training regime that will help you. If you are overweight be sure to include such things as HIIT into your training program so that you can lose the unwanted fat as quickly as possible. Before you know it you’ll have a shredded 6 pack!

Simon GeorgeWhat are some of the biggest training mistakes you’ve made?

How much time have you got? I can safely say I have made a lot of training mistakes. For example, when I started and literally knew nothing about training I would do full body workouts every single day!

Other training mistakes have included training regardless of a bad injury, and staying in the gym far too long and overtraining. What this means is that my body would have had to of been burning muscle just to get energy for the workout I was doing, which of course is extremely counter productive.

What does your current supplementation plan look like?

I don’t overdo it on supplements, currently my stack looks like this:

If someone wants to connect with you, where can you be found?

At the moment the best place to connect with me is through Facebook. The link to my fan page is: www.facebook.com/SGaesthetics.

Favorite activities and hobbies you enjoy when away from the gym?

I enjoy playing sports, mainly because I have always been extremely competitive and love competing with people. I also like to just chill out and hang out with my friends. I think it is extremely important to make sure you have a healthy social life alongside your workout life, otherwise you’ll just wind yourself up too much without ever getting the chance to relax.

Movies and TV shows you’ve enjoyed recently?

Anchorman! I know this film is quite old but I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and now wouldn’t be able to count how many times I have watched it! Never fails to have me in stitches. 60% of the time, it works 100% of the time - lmao!
