What is your athletic background, and how did you get involved with bodybuilding?
I used to be a professional BMX rider, so I pay a lot of my being conditioned to that. It was like working out with a 30lb weight 8 hours a day for 11 years. As far as getting into bodybuilding, in January 2010 my girlfriend started going to the gym and I followed. My passion for lifting weights became very strong once I saw I could control the way my body looked with proper diet.
What were the major milestones that gave you that "extra" motivation boost?
After completing the schoolcraft college fire academy and winning the fitness award for the program it was the perfect push I needed to really keep me motivated.
What keeps you motivated?
Stay lean year round so I always see improvement. It really keeps the fire burning.
What are your future goals, dreams and plans?
To just keep up what I’m doing and become a Men’s Physique pro cardholder. Stay healthy and natural!
What does your current training and split look like, and what do you like most about it?
- Monday Workout 1 – Chest - upper concentration, Back, Legs - Quads concentration.
- Tuesday Workout 2 - Shoulders, Lower Back, Arms - Triceps concentration.
- Wednesday Workout 1 – Chest - decline concentration, Back, Legs - hammies concentration.
- Thursday Workout 2 - Shoulders, Lower Back, Arms - Biceps concentration.
- Friday Workout 1 – Body weight day, cardio of some sort.
- Satursday Workout 2 - Shoulders, Lower Back, Arms.
- Sunday - Off
What are some of the biggest training mistakes you’ve made?
Not paying attention to my whole physique for the first 6 months.
What are some of your best training tips for someone who wants to look good and get ripped?
Eat healthy and figure out what works for you’re body.
What are some of the most common mistakes made when someone is trying to build muscle and/or get ripped?
Some people don’t workout every part of there body and it will throw off there whole physique.
Do you have any gym, muscle building or fitness pet peeves?
People who drop weights and scream. Sorry there’s no reason to throw 40lb dumbbells.
What are your best tips for getting ripped and shredded abs?
Weighted ab training.
What advanced training techniques work well for you?
Supersets.
What does your post-workout nutrition and supplementation look like?
2 scoops protein, 5 eggs, 1 cup fruit.
What are your favorite cheat meals and foods?
Double cheeseburgers.

Fish, turkey, veggies.

Not only is Steve an awesome young athlete and physique competitor, I'm also very lucky to call him a friend as well.
