M&S recently visited with 8x undefeated Mr. Olympia, Lee Haney, at his house in Georgia.
While there, you know we had to get an inside look at his trophy case.
Join along as one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time revisits some of his biggest career wins and reminisces about a truly special time for the sport of bodybuilding.
Lee Haney’s 8 Sandows
The Sandow trophy is awarded to the best physique each year at the Mr. Olympia contest and is named after the first documented strong man, Eugene Sandow.
Lee’s got 8 of them – which is a record. And he got them while going undefeated in 8 straight Mr. Olympia contests (the only person to ever do so).
There are two different styles of Sandow trophies on his mantel. The first style has more of a rigid base with cursive font, while the other style has a smoother base with a more of a print font.
Also on his mantel is a plaque given to him from Ben Weider representing the distinguished service award for the sport of bodybuilding and an achievement medal for all of his accomplishments in the sport.
His favorite memories? His first and last Olympias. The first because it was so new and the feeling of finally being on top was so memorable to him. The last because of the records he set at the time and still holds today.
