Looking for an intense chest day workout to get a killer pump? Give IFBB Pro and Beast Sports athlete Juan Morel's superset chest day workout a try!

Have you ever wondered how an absolute beast trains his chest? Who are we kidding, we already knew the answer to that question.

That’s why last month the M&S team traveled to New York and caught up with Beast Sports team athlete Juan “Diesel” Morel on one of his epic chest days.

We met up with Juan at The East Coast Mecca, Bev Francis Gym.

After seeing how Juan crushes this chest day, it’s all to appropriate that he is sponsored by Beast, because that’s exactly what he is, a beast in the gym.

Juan’s goal is to get as big and heavy as possible. He desires to be on stage 10-15lbs heavier year after year. In order to do that, he implements a training style that greatly resembles a lot of bodybuilding stars from the 1990s.

Juan believes in high volume training and hitting each body part at least twice in a week. To increase the amount of volume of his workouts, Juan implements a superset method. This is the workout he performs during the offseason.

Exercise 1: Incline Dumbbell Bench

Juan starts his chest day with incline dumbbell presses. After 2 warm up sets, he moves into 4 heavy working sets.

Incline dumbbell bench press is the only chest exercise Juan performs with dumbbells. He prefers to use barbells and machines for the rest of his chest exercises.

1st Superset: Barbell Bench Press & Machine Flat Press

After working his upper chest with incline dumbbell press, Juan moves into his first superset of his workout. This superset features barbell bench press and machine flat press.

Juan performs each exercise for 4 sets. On barbell bench press, he aims to hit 10-12 reps for each set, but for machine flat press he shoots for 10 reps per set.

Complete Line of Beast Sports Supplements

After failing on barbell bench, Juan is a little frustrated. He is not as strong as he once was, which gives him all the more reason to push harder and ensure he brings a better package to the stage in 2016.

2nd Superset: Incline Smith Machine Press & Incline Machine Press

From the flat position, Juan gravitates back to incline movements. His next superset incorporates incline smith machine presses and incline machine presses.

Again, Juan does 4 sets of each of these exercises. Juan hits 10 reps per set on the incline machine press. On the smith machine, Juan aims to hit 15 reps with 2 plates on each side for his first 2 sets before moving to 315 for his final 2 sets.

On Juan’s final set of incline smith machine press, his muscles are extremely fatigued, but he knows he has to push through it. He asks for a number, any number (it ends up being 10), and he doubles it and shoots to hit 20 reps on his final set.

Give Juan’s superset chest workout a shot for a killer pump on your next chest day and be sure to post your thoughts in the comments section below.
