6 weeks out from the Mr. Olympia contest, we caught up with IFBB Men’s Physique Pro and Beast athlete, Brandon Hendrickson.
Today, we induct him into the M&S Breakfast Club as we present his Mr. Olympia breakfast.
When we shot with him, he was very optimistic about what the future held.
He had envisioned where he wanted to be and all the steps it would take to get there.
And one of those steps included nailing down his nutrition each and every day.
What better way to kick start those days than with a true breakfast of champions?
Brandon Hendrickson’s Pre Olympia Breakfast
For his main protein source at breakfast, Brandon cooks 1.5 cups of liquid egg whites with 2 whole eggs added in for extra protein and fat.
When cooking his eggs, he doesn’t use any salt. Instead, he uses black pepper, a little bit of onion powder, and a touch of garlic powder.
While the eggs cook, he adds 3/4ths of a cup of oats to a pot on another burner so they’ll be ready at about the same time.
Then, he begins to make his “First Call Out Grapefruit”. This is Brandon’s favorite part of his breakfast. To make it, cut a grapefruit in half. Top it with honey and cinnamon to make it sweeter. Lastly, cook it in a conventional oven for a few minutes to warm it up.
To top his oats, he’ll add a couple of strawberries, blueberries, a handful of raisins, a tablespoon of honey, some cinnamon, and about 2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond milk.
When the grapefruit is finished cooking, cut it around the skin. Then, cut again in a cross pattern.
