Muscle & Strength joins IFBB Pro and Primeval Labs athlete, Regan Grimes, in his kitchen once again.
This time, we ask Regan to cook up and discuss his typical midday meal.
Watch the video or read on to learn what Regan eats for lunch and why.
Regan Grimes’ Lunch
Regan is in a muscle building phase while in the offseason. So, for each meal, his focus is to get enough carbs to fuel performance and muscle growth. One of his favorite carb sources to do that with is pasta.
For this particular meal, he weighs out 156 grams of dry rotini pasta. The protein source he uses is lean organic beef. The particular brand used comes in 4oz patties, so he uses 2 (8oz total) and cooks them on the stove top.
For “seasoning” on the burgers, Regan coats them with a little bit of BBQ sauce. After draining the pasta, he combines it with the beef and tops it with Himalayan salt and pasta sauce.
Lastly, he adds in a banana and 8oz of juice.
