Return of the King Snake | Ep. 2

This video begins with Steve preparing his second meal of the day at 11:30 AM.

For this meal, Steve utilizes some prepared food he has stored in containers in the fridge. To make things easier, Steve will cook in bulk a lot of times and measure the food out as needed. This meal consists of 1.5 cups of white rice and 8oz of chicken.

Both of Steve’s parents are good at cooking and he’s adapted some of their tendencies in the kitchen. Steve also had to learn how to cook in bulk while working at the fire department, a lot of times finding himself cooking for 10+ people (while on a budget).

Steve likes to keep things simple when it comes to dieting. There’s no need to complicate every meal. Figure out what you enjoy to eat and cook, and simply stick to that.

In Steve’s case, a lot of meals are provided to him prepackaged, which helps with time, running to the store, cooking, and everything else that is involved with feeding his body. But, there still are certain meals Steve enjoys cooking for himself when he has the time.

After Steve finishes up his second meal of the day, we follow him to Costco where he does the majority of his grocery shopping for the week.

Steve enjoys purchasing his salmon, steak, egg whites, avocados, and green vegetables from Costco. While on prep, Steve eats a salmon meal daily which consists of 8oz of salmon.

After wrapping up at Costco, Steve heads back to his house to prepare his salmon meal with sea salted rice.

Steve sprays his salmon with non-stick cooking spray, as fish tends to stick to the grill while it’s being cooked. Then, he seasons it with Old Bay, cuts it up into serving sizes, and throws it on the grill.

As he mentions, it’s always good to have fresh meats and fish that are better tasting and are slightly easier to digest on hand.
