In our popular series, Clean Fast Food, we have IFBB pros take us through the drive-thru at popular fast food chains to show us what they’d order to eat clean and fit their macros.
This episode features Gaspari Nutrition athlete, Robert Timms.
And Robert’s taking us to two places.
Starbucks.
And the chain the entire east coast wishes they could try, In-N-Out.
Starbucks
The first stop for Robert is at Starbucks. But instead of getting a coffee, he picks up a high protein snack.
Breakfast food is anytime food, and eggs are always an option for a complete protein source. So, Robert opts to get egg bites at Starbucks. Unfortunately, they’re out of the bacon egg bites he was hoping for, so he grabs 2 orders of red pepper egg whites instead.
Each pack of red pepper egg whites has about 13g of protein. They’re a pretty simple and healthy order to get on the go and consist of egg whites, red peppers, and spinach.
Starbucks Macros – 340 Calories, 26g of Protein, 26g of Carbs, 14g of Fat.
In-N-Out
Next up, Robert swings through the drive-thru at In-N-Out. In-N-Out is a popular west coast chain known for the simplicity of its burgers and fries.
Robert orders a regular hamburger (protein style), regular fries, and a diet coke. If he wanted just the burger, he’d get a double regular burger without the fries.
Protein style burgers come wrapped in lettuce, which can be especially helpful if you’re looking to cut back on your carbs for whatever reason.
In-N-Out Macros – 735 Calories, 28g of Protein, 65g of Carbs, 48g of Fat.
