Smith Machine Squat (Feet Forward) Instructions

  1. Set the bar to around shoulder height and load the weight you want to use.
  2. Stand under the bar with your legs around shoulder width apart. Grasp the bar with a wide grip and position the center of the bar on top of the muscles on your back.
  3. Unrack the weight and take a few steps forward to bring your feet out in front of you. This is the starting position.
  4. Inhale and slowly squat down until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
  5. Exhale, and push up through the heels, raising the bar back to the starting position. This is one rep.
  6. Repeat for desired reps.
