Nathan Mikeska started his wellness career in 2005 while he was active duty in the United States Air Force. Before his units deployment to Iraq, he was tasked with getting his Flight of over one hundred troops physically and mentally prepared for combat. In December 2005, the military sent him to the Cooper's Institute where he studied and completed the Cooper's Institute certified personal trainer course.
His position in the Air Force was physically demanding and required him to be physically and mentally prepared to deploy at a moments notice. He participated in three tours to Iraq and hurricane Katrina. He knew being physically fit didn't come easy, so he decided he wanted to continue helping soldiers, friends, family, and others become physically fit and healthy through proper diet and exercise.
After an honorable discharge, Nathan pursued his nutrition degree at Georgia Southern University. Upon graduating in 2012, he felt confident he could stand out as a personal trainer because he could provide individualized meal plans, nutrition advice, and fitness routines for his clients.
In January 2014 he started and completed the Wellcoaches Certified Health and Wellness Coach training program. Upon completion in August 2014, he became certified as a health and wellness coach and began offering coaching as an added service. Recently Nathan enrolled in the Wellcoaches Professional Coach Training and will become a Certified Professional Coach in June 2015.
The last nine years, he has continued to train and educate a diverse group of clientele for several different wellness facilities. Nathan enjoys writing and sharing his knowledge and continues to be ambitious with his education, but most importantly helping individual's become healthy. The ability to provide overall wellness through proper nutrition and exercise is fascinating to him. He knew early in life that he wanted to work in the wellness field and plans to make a positive impact in not only client’s lives but his as well.
