Chris Tuttle is a Registered Dietitian (R.D.), IFBB professional bodybuilder, personal trainer and coach, researcher, and guest lecturer in Nutrition at the University of St. Joseph and the American International College in the School of Health Sciences. He began his own company, Nutrition For You LLC , which enabled him to better share his extensive knowledge of nutrition and exercise with his clients. Chris’ expertise covers weight loss, sports performance, contest preparation, bodybuilding, and fitness and figure competitions.
Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Haven. From there, he expanded his understanding of nutrition by completing a Dietetic Internship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. After leaving New York, he continued to study Nutrition in further depth and earned a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Saint Joseph.
The importance of nutrition was evident early in Chris’s life when he was diagnosed with hypoglycemia at the age of ten. He learned the advantage of eating multiple small meals that contained a balance of complex carbohydrates and protein and resulted in stabilizing his blood sugar. Working in an acute care setting at a Connecticut hospital has served to underscore the critical importance of nutrition in achieving and maintaining good health.
Combining good nutrition with physical training contributed to his success as a professional Motocross competitor in 2004. After switching gears, Chris later earned his IFBB pro card as a Light Heavyweight at the 2013 NPC Nationals in November.
Today, Chris loves to educate others on the power of exercise combined with proper nutrition. He derives great satisfaction helping people to achieve their health and fitness-related goals. He is dedicated to sharing his love of nutrition and proper supplementation with others in the hope that this knowledge will serve others as well as it has served him. Chris is a unique athlete who combines a rigorous academic background in nutrition, great communication skills, and a pro level bodybuilding physique.
