My name is Chike (pronounced chee^kay) Amadi, an active fitness enthusiast and freelance bodybuilder.
The name “Chike” translates in Igbo to “Power”. Originally from Los, Angeles, CA and son to two Nigerian immigrant parents, I developed passion for sports at an early age. From playing AAU basketball, youth league soccer, and football, I’ve also been an active participate in sports.
It wasn’t until I joined the Army after high school (active duty now a drilling Reservist) where I developed a love for fitness, wellness, and bodybuilding. I originally starting off in calisthenics then graduating into weightlifting on and off for a few years. At my Army Reserve unit, I’m part of the Physical Training Team and help my fellow soldiers pass their fitness exams and frequently give fitness advice.
I went to an NPC bodybuilding show at Venice Beach in Los Angeles two years ago where I started taking lifting and nutrition seriously and have seen tremendous body changes (despite trial and errors).
I’m currently a senior undergraduate at the University of Arizona studying economics, minoring in accounting and plan on becoming an investment banker and real estate entrepreneur post my college and military career. I’m also very active on social media, posting workout videos and leaving nutrition and fitness tips on Instagram and Snapchat.
Aside from career goals, I plan on competing in NPC shows here in Arizona and turn professional. With the fitness trainers and bodybuilding mentorship I currently have, I believe all of this is possible. I want to lead, motivate, & inspire friends, family, and people on social media about the health, exercise, and fitness and help people accomplish their fitness goals.
