Alex Nurse is a Toronto-based strength coach and consultant for Body + Soul Fitness and Game Without Pain who specializes in the development of speed and agility. He is also the co-founder of the Toronto Health & Performance Newsletter.

Through his knowledge and practice of Neurokinetic Therapy and Soft Tissue Release, he is able to place priority on the improvement and maintenance of the joint and tissue health of his clients and athletes.

Alex began his training career as a sprint hurdler in high school and continued through college. But due to a shin-splint injury which progressed into stress fractures and, chronic, often debilitating pain, his focus changed from competing to helping athletes prepare for the rigours of training.

Now, he focuses on helping his trainees and athletes develop strength, speed, and agility, while also educating about the consequences of dysfunctional movement patterns on performance due to their influence on the kinetic chain.
