Strewn across the top of his Facebook page is a banner that reminds his friends and fans to "Be Remembered". That is how Greg Plitt lived his life on a daily basis, and worked to get many others to live just the same. Known to many as a fitness model and television personality, Greg was more than just a face on magazines and tv screen. He was an inspiration, and a fitness legend.
In fact, he dedicated his life to helping better the life of others by helping them shape up and be a healthier version of themselves. For this reason and many others, it was devastating to hear that he had passed away on Saturday, January 17th at the age of 37, due to a tragic train accident on tracks near Burbank, CA.
Anyone that had ever met Greg in person or through a screen will tell you that they walked away feeling ready to fight for their life, because that's just the type of person Greg was: motivational. In honor of the great Greg Plitt here he is at his best, which was him everyday:
Will You Be Remembered?
The world is your playground. Limitless.
This short video on Instagram encompasses everything Greg was about - working hard in the gym living life on the edge. He was always aware that the world was his playground, and he took full advantage of this.
Bet On Yourself
One his most recognizable quotes, Greg was constantly reminding people that they had the ability to overcome and win in life.
Hard Work and Perseverance
Hard work and perseverance will always override genetics. Life isn't about what you're born with. It's what you do with what you have.

Tweets like these are why Greg was the best at what he did. Not one to say things for the sake of saying them, the world knew he worked hard and gained every bit of what he had.
Best of the Best
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning how to dance in the rain.
Doing what he did best: motivating through hard work in the gym. Greg was an incredible athlete who put in endless hours inside the gym to help better himself, and outside the gym to help better others.
Mental Journey
source: Dustin Snipes
Greg was a strong believer that a person could grow strong physically through their mental strength - the more you worked on believing in yourself and all the things you could accomplish, the more your worked showed on the outside.
Confidence
No one is born with confidence... It is developed through action. It's perishable, if you don't emphasize it, you'll lose it.
— Greg Plitt (@GregPlitt) April 27, 2012
Once again nurturing the idea that a person has to take care of what's inside as well. Greg's confidence earned him everything he had in life, and that's something he constantly spoke on.
What Can You Accomplish?
In 37 years, Greg grew to be a fitness legend, role model, and one of the best motivational figures in the world. Through his actions and words, he inspired many to get their lives together, and that's something that will keep his legacy going on for many years to come.
Remembering Day One
Greg was a firm believer in transformation starting as soon as you make the conscious choice to better yourself. Every passing day was a step forward to becoming the best person you could be, and remembering what you used to be would fuel your hard work even more.
The Power of Success
Success comes with a natural high that's hard to come down from, and Greg always championed this idea. Not only did he chase after it, he achieved it and maintained it.
Living Life to the Fullest
Make sure we live life to the fullest, knowing the life we have is only possible due to so many before us that perished far too young for us to have this luxury called LIFE.
