Bench Press Calculator - Calculate Your 1 REP MAX

Average: 4.1 (314 votes)
4.1 5 314
The Muscle & Strength bench press calculator can be used to work out your approximate 1 REP MAX bench press. These figures are not 100% accurate, but it serves as a good guide!

This bench press calculator can be used to work out your approximate 1 REP MAX bench press. The way this bench calculator works is it takes the amount of weight you can bench for a certain number of reps and uses a formula to calculate your approximate 1 REP MAX. Obviously, these figures are not 100% accurate.

To use the bench press calculator simply enter the weight in the first box provided and select the number of reps from the drop down box. For example, if I benched 100kg for 10 reps I would enter 100 and select 10 reps. The bench press calculator works in both pounds and kilograms.

working out 4 to 6 hours a day will do you more harm than good in the long run. your body needs more rest than that to build.

That's why we don't need to switch to the metric system. People just need to realize they are the same!

85 really aint bad for starter at 15. I was at about 85 when I was 14 and after a year by age 15 I was up to 185. Lol That was 17 years ago. I can do quite a bit more now, but keep at it. Once you can bench 135 for 10 times then you've made serious progress. 135 X 10 is good for any high schooler!

I agree. When I started freshman football camp at age 14, I was maxing out around 85lbs and weighing in at 120lbs. By the end of the summer when the season started, I put up 175lbs and gained 20lbs. In four years I jumped to 220lbs with a 415lb max. It may take time, but gains do come.

I'm Kevin and I do care. This is about benchin' and Pounds Baby! Pounds! I am somewhere around 96 years old and I can Power Clean and Jerk, 50 times my entire Olympics standard weight set, 45+35+25 etc...Same with Squats and Bench. I've also ran around the track twice at my old high schools track. I did the second lap running backwards and held my breath for the last half of my lap all this with 225 on the bar, baby!! Pounds baby!
