Bench Press Calculator - Calculate Your 1 REP MAX

Average: 4.2 (217 votes)
4.2 5 217
The Muscle & Strength bench press calculator can be used to work out your approximate 1 REP MAX bench press. These figures are not 100% accurate, but it serves as a good guide!

This bench press calculator can be used to work out your approximate 1 REP MAX bench press. The way this bench calculator works is it takes the amount of weight you can bench for a certain number of reps and uses a formula to calculate your approximate 1 REP MAX. Obviously, these figures are not 100% accurate.

To use the bench press calculator simply enter the weight in the first box provided and select the number of reps from the drop down box. For example, if I benched 100kg for 10 reps I would enter 100 and select 10 reps. The bench press calculator works in both pounds and kilograms.

I used this bench press calculator last week and tested my 1 rep max bench this morning and it was almost dead on! (2.5lbs out). Not bad!

I'm 6' 1'' and can bench press 1600lbs. I beat all you guys.... Morons.... Some day you guys that are bragging about how much you can bench will realize that working out and strength training is more than just how much you can bench.

It's 1075 and it's an assisted bench, the raw bench record is what you should count. (750 or so)

Bill u r right...But most of them dont see how muscle endurance is more then strength...Im also 6'1" and i go for lbs not max bench...its nice to know what ur max bench is but knowing over all lbs you can handlesounds alot better then a one time rep.

What's really funny is that you're all bragging to a bunch of other guys. Why don't you all just bend over and grab your ankles.

The bench test that is used most often is 225lbs max reps. Scouts want to see somebody that can use their strength to get something done, not just do something once.

This is what I live by, the 225 rep test, yes I max my bench right at 365 or so but I can rep 225 30x. When someone asks you how much can you bench, you look at them and say, how much can you rep? The collage combine is prime example, they dont say how much can you press they want you to press 225 for as many reps as possible.

And your max should be higher. Start doing some full range of motion reps there chief.

Why do people ask others what they can bench or say what they can bench? Bench press is a neat exercise but there's more exercises out there.

First off anyone that reps 225 for 30 times can bench a hell alot more then 365.. You should be in 435 range. Nice try dude.

Im a former d1 college linebacker. Played arena ball as well. I repped out 30 reps at 225 at a bodyweight of 250. Ran a 4.63. My max was 425 so i agree with this comment. if you can hit 30+ reps you definitely should be in the 400lb club.

The scouts are looking for a lot more than that. You combine people can keep kidding yourselves that those partial reps count. By that token, I can do 225 for 45 or so. Up from the regular 30.

Yeah, but this calculator is for people who want to know what their bench press is and is why most people came here. Why are you here? Run along to the Crossfit or p90x boards now.

Thank God someone stepped up and made that comment. It was getting ridiculous! A strong max is great, but I would much rather have a tone mid section and overall good health anyday compared to lifting 500lbs and have a mega gut and not be able to run a mile.

Ya that's a mulitply shirted lift. Scott Mendelson holds the raw (unequipped) record bench @ 715 which will most likely be beaten within the next month by Eric Spoto.
