This was a good product at a good price point when it was $29.99. Unfortunately now it is just another overpriced whey protein blend. Bummer MGN. I think for a protein blend I will stick to my 6lb bag of Muscle Milk from Costco for roughly the same price.

I got a lot of the flavors. Good Product, just wish the fat wasn't so high. My main complaint is that they do not list the BCAA's on the container!!! I knew I wouldn't have bought a protien without it, but when I looked at the container it doesn't list it on the front or even under the breakdown of ingredients. It has a couple of words in the descriptions and that is it. You have to come to the website to see them listed. I almost bought more BCAA's because of it!!! Please get them listed on the container!!!

This stuff is disgusting in so many ways, and I question the quality of the ingredients. I mixed this stuff in a small blender so that everything was perfectly mixed. The amount and consistency of the foam produced is like nothing I have ever seen. The foam was almost like foam hand soap in its thickness and consistency! Leave this stuff sitting ofr more than 30 minutes and the resulting foamy sludge is unbearable. Although the flavor system itself wasn't terrible, this shake tasted like it had TONS of sucralose in it. These days, when whey is increasingly expensive, I like to save as much $ as possible. However, it's not worth it with this stuff. Spend a few extra and get something from a more well-established company...

One of the best Post Workouts I have EVER Taken. Every time I take this after a workout I feel absolutely AMAZING!! I got Chocolate and I use 8oz of low fat milk and it taste really good I can just slam this stuff down fast. Great source of protein as well. Im loving this stuff right now.

Guys, this product is loaded with non dairy creamer..... and honestly, don't really think the amino acid profile is accurate. Taste was like a bad cup of gas station coffee with carnation instant creamer filling in the gaps of this over rated product.

I agree with below. Cake batter used to be my favorite flavor and I was really excited to get it again after it being sold out for months. When it finally came I have to say it is one of the worst proteins I have ever tasted. Can't taste any of the flavor that I used to, and it mixes really strange...I always have massive air bubbles at the bottom of my shake which I have never had with any other protein before.

Cinnamon bun used to be my favorite flavor. I've used it for nearly 2 years. This lasted batch tastes different. Something funky with the sweeteners, simply overkill and you can no longer taste the cinnamon bun. Blech!

Taste is delicious and the protein itself is not top of the line but still a grade above that bottom dollar protein from Walmart and Target. It does the trick right after a workout for recovery and for a great price. Highly recommended. I suggest combining it with a casein protein at night for the muscle building potential.

This was my first MGA product and I can say, it was a great exprience, tasted great, it has very good protein to scoop to tub ratio, around 1600p/per tub, and considering the amazing price its a perfect number.

The price was great.

The taste is great.

I am on recomp diet and I have to say I preserved Muscle and lost BF while using this protein with no problem, and looked very solid at the gym too.

I love peanut butter and so I thought if this tastes anywhere close to real peanut butter I would love it. But the taste is very scant and did not like it overall. However, I will still rate it above the chocolate flavor. Once I finish the chocolate tub I am going to try the cookie crunch flavor which has got such good reviews!

I was about to get on here and complain about how the formula had changed last year and that it couldn't possibly be pure isolate any longer. Since I'm lactose intolerant if I have a full scoop then I'd toot toot toot till I dropped.

But I just realized that M&F has been advertising the American ISO at the price that the Pure Isolate use to be sold at. I didnt realize this! They even changed the name of the concentrate to ISO which threw me off too. And I have ordered it twice since then. I must say the sales tactic they used, whether unintentional or not, really made me start disliking their products, and I had been ordering their Isolate off and on since 2009 I believe.

I stopped ordering pure whey isolates b/c i thought I had developed an even lower tolerance for lactose.

Moving on my review is pretty simple. It's whey concentrate. It doesn't mix that well. It's got loads of lactose. The flavors are so-so, some of the flavors taste faker than others, mostly just due to the amount of sweetners. Price is average.

I mix one scoop per 8oz (1cup) of milk, with a spoon. It mixes fairly smooth with a slight layer of hard to mix silt-like layer on the top. But the chocolately flavor was pleasant and strong, got a couple of little crunchy oreo-like pieces in each shake. Based on taste and texture, its better than most, and its fairly inexpensive.

Thought if could use a little more glutamine, but its still an excellent product for the price.

I bought this protein because I was being a cheap a$$ and the price/serving was good. However, this protein gives me terrible gas. I've taken lots of protein and lots of brands but none has affected me like this. I constantly have bubble gut and fart what seems like 100 times a day. It's embarrassing. The taste of the chocolate is too sweet. I usually drink 2 scoops and I have to really up the amount of water to get the taste where I like it. I don't want to drink 24 oz. of fluid to down a shake. If you're on a budget and don't mind having constant gas go ahead and buy this. If not, I'd look for something else.

With IsoFuel OOS so much, I have been ordering the MGN Pure Isolate - Ice Cream Sandwich was OK and the Cinnamon Bun is very good - not as good as the old Iso's Cinnamon but close.

Intriuged by the Cinnamon Apple Crumb Pie - being an exclusive flavor I figured it can't be all that bad. Could deal with the American Iso's fat and sugar content so I took a chance and ordered a tub

Oy.... was I wrong about the falvor! Very sweet and fake tasting. Didn't mix all that well, either. Could see how they tried to simulate apple crumb pie but they totally missed the boat. Will give it a few more tries but stay away from this flavor. Haven't taken enough of it to see how effective it is, but man, that flavor.......ugh....

Prior to trying this flavor I had tried the Chocolate and the Ice Cream Sandwich (not carried by Muscle and Strength) flavors of American Isolate, so I'm primarily comparing this flavor to those.

As far as flavor is concerned Chocolate Cookie Crunch tastes almost identical to the Chocolate flavor except with the addition of little chocolate cookie bits. The big difference I noticed about Chocolate Cookie Crunch is that it mixed a lot better than my last batch of Chocolate. This might just be because my last jug of Chocolate was a bad batch but I can't say for sure.

My only real complaint about this flavor is that the cookie pieces are pretty rare so it seems like kind of a stretch calling it "Cookie Crunch". Out of 10-15 scoops I've seen maybe 5 or 6 small cookie bits so far. This is compared to the Ice Cream Sandwich flavor which had at least 1 or 2 cookie bits per scoop. It is possible that the majority have settled at the bottom of the jug or I just received a batch with barely any cookies bits, but I won't really know until I get closer to the bottom.

If this is your first time buying American Isolate and you are a fan of Chocolate flavored whey then I would definitely pick this flavor over normal Chocolate due to its mixability and the addition of the cookie bits (hopefully yours will have more than mine)

The sweetness is spot on, the flavors are great, and there's little crunchy bits in it as well. Honestly I was blown away by this one. Excellent job guys, this has now become my staple flavor

This is the first time I have tried this protein powder. It was recommended to me by my brother who has tried every flavor and has nothing but great things to say about the product. I too am very pleased. The flavor is great (cake batter) and the texture is smooth. The powder disolves wonderfully in milk (which is my favorite liquid to mix it with) and the overall drink/smoothie is delicious. I am using the protien to help lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle and I am confident that this product will help me achieve my goals. I can't wait to try additional flavors! =)

Ordered chocolate for my first tub and this product is by far the best whey protein I have used. I put it in my shaker and it mixes fairly easy with milk. I noticed right away that I performed better in the gym when I took 1 scoop of this before my workout and I felt better after the gym when I took a scoop after. I would and have recommended this to my friends.

Replaced this with the crappy stuff I was buying from walmart. Right at the beginning of my first workout using this product I noticed I had more strength for a longer period of time and I have built some more muscle within the first 3 weeks of using. Would recommend this product to anyone.

Remember this; research is your best friend. This is branded as an isolate, which it definitely contains, but it isn't 100% pure isolate (which MGN also makes, great stuff). What this means to you is that there will be a slightly higher caloric, carbohydrate and fat intake. If you can plan your diet properly to knock out the additional fat, carbs and calories, this becomes one of the best proteins at its ridiculously low price.

If you can stand a few grams of carbs and fat compared to pure isolates, then this is a no-brainer must-buy.

The taste is great, a lot better than most chocolate proteins I've had. It mixes very well in water and not so well in milk, which is pretty standard.

Again, this is a great value. If you want to trim up fat, carbs and cals then you should upgrade to a pure isolate but this does the trick for every other need.

For the price I did not expect it to taste, so good. The strawberry flavor isn't really strong which is a nice change from other protein manufacturers. The texture isn't chalky. It mixes really nice in a shaker. Like most isolate products, it digests really quick.

They call it Isolate but there is whey peptides and concentrate in there. It also doesn't come close to the highest BCAA per serving. This is a cheap protein supplment not an Isolate protein supplement like they lead you to believe. Mixes horrible which tells you all the fillers in there. At 120 calories and 22g of protein you got a whole lot of garbage in there.

I bought this brand because of the positive reviews and its cost effectiveness. I tried both the cake batter and cinnamon bun flavors and both were phenomenal, unlike any other. Compared on taste alone this product is the best bar none. The cake batter batch mixed smoothly, however the cinnamon bun did not share that same mix-ability and was extremely clumpy each time I drank it, possibly got a poor batch, not sure. As for 80 servings, that is where they have mislabeled this product. After noticing I had burned through my first tub sooner than anticipated, I marked the top of my second container each time I used a serving which came out to 52. Still not a bad deal when compared to other products. Other than mislabeling and poor mix-ability with one container, the two flavors were both very tasty. Patrick McNamee RN BSN.

Good product and can't really beat the price. I don't get people complaining about the mix-ability, are you using a spoon in a glass or an actual shaker? I've had zero issues with clumping, and the taste is rather palatable.

i reviewed the cake batter a few weeks ago. i enjoyed it, so i order the cinnamon bun flavor, hoping for the same quality.

This time my 5lb tub of protein was complete crap.
The taste was ok, tasted like i made a shake of half water and half cinnamon powder.

Also, it will not mix, it turns into some kind of play-doh like b.s when it touches the water, like freaking silly putty. Even when i use the blender, its just chops up the putty, then sinks to the bottom. I always have to chew. I am so disappointed, MGN's cake batter protein impressed me so much, but this, this is horrible. I hope MGN will see this message and start doing some QUALITY CONTROL!!

When you get a protein that turns into a putty-like substance when it hits the water, it is kind of hard to believe it is whey protein at all. I think i got a 5lb tub of straight cinnamon powder/plaster!

I wish there was a way to send this back, to either get a refund, or some real protein, not cinnamon plaster!

I got it because of the sale and thought it was really bad to mix. Even in water, it took a while sometimes. The flavor I had was rocky road and I only enjoyed it in the beggining then it was just bland and didn't want to drink it anymore.
