I have tried this recipe only in the reverse. I add a scoop of Banana Protein Powder and powdered cinamon with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and skim milk, its great!!! Sometimes I add 1/2 cup of No Sugar added Apple sauce....Just can't get enough of it, it is good!

Whole milk would be fine.

love this recipe. I usually substitute chocolate protein powder for cinnamon. You can't beat chocolate banana and peanut butter!

I make mine with Skim milk, 1 banana, few frozen strawberries, tbs of natural peanut butter (or a walnuts), 1/2 cup whole oats, scoop chocolate or vanilla designer protein. Yum! Don't exactly know - but about 600 calories all of which are usable!

I found if you blend the oats - and walnuts if using them - first it makes dirnk smoother.

This receipe looks perfect to try, and also to mod it around a bit. Being lactose intolerant and all, I'm sure plain soy or almond milk would taste great with it. Can't wait to actually try MRP shakes! Though wanting more receipes that are also low in carbs but high in protein.

I was looking on line for a different kind of protein shake and came across this one. I didn't have the cinnamon protein powder so I just used what I had, Soy Vanilla Protein. I used a regular banana - non-frozen and added some ice instead, substituted skim with almond milk and a dash or two of cinnamon powder. I must say it came out very yummy!

Extremely unhealthy. Almost 600 kcals from fat, and high GI carbs = a nightmare of insulin transporting fatty acids into the cells. Terrible idea. Truly asinine.
