February Diet&Nutrition Question:
I am starting training what I need to do with my diet?
Answer:
Firstly you do not need to change your eating habits overnight and don’t suddenly drop your fat intake to about 10%. A 20% -25% fat intake is reasonable and attainable. Begin by looking at ways of reducing your fat intake. Begin to experiment with complex carbohydrates, like whole grains, rice’s, pasta’s. Potatoes, fruits.
For protein sources use lean choices of red meats, fish, and poultry, as your good protein sources. A diet that is comprised of 50-60% carbohydrates, 15-30% protein, and 20-25% fats will get you on the road to healthy eating. You should keep a nutrition log, write down everything you eat over a few days or a week, take a look at the log, and see if you can change anything to make it healthier.
