August Diet&Nutrition Question:

What are the principals of a good weight loss diet?

Answer:

A weight reduction diet should be safe, effective and also realistic. And you should follow the following principles.

  1. Your diet should be low in calories, but supply all the nutrients essential for normal body functions.
  2. It should contain a wide range of foods that appeal to your taste and help prevent hunger and cravings between your meals.
  3. It should be suited to your particular lifestyle.
  4. It should provide for a slow rate of weight loss of about 1-2 lbs per week.
  5. It should be a lifelong eating plan once you have lost your desired weight.
