As part of my conditioning for the hockey season I have been jogging. My question is what will be a better condition plan, jogging or sprinting? or maybe a combo of both? Any advice would be welcomed

Both would be good, but since sports such as hockey/ football rely on sprint bursts, it's probably better to put the emphasis on sprints.

Sprints are probably best. the everage shift is 45 seconds so try working your way up to that. i would run a football feild with 30-45 seconds rest between eaach for 10-15 sets. once i could sprint the length of feild i would run the length and back. but doing a one or two mile jog isnt bad once in a while

I Myself play In-line Hockey. along with normal Leg exercises in the gym I invested in a resistance chute...... It can be used with sprints both on skates or off them.

What's a resistance chute?
