    Default anyone know how to build a pull up bar?

    i have no clue on how to construct one.

    HI, any sports store sells doorway pull-up bars and they are pretty cheap. You can find them on ebay as well. I have never tried these types of bars, but i'm sure they work just fine.

    Walmart sells them as do any super dept. store and most sporting goods stores. I have one and I have no complaints with it.

    are the door way ones sturdy? can you close your door properly after installing them? do they mess up your door?

    they're sturdy as long as they're installed properly... and it all depends on how wide your doorjam is. I have mine in a doorway that doesn't have a door on it.

    Talking Well, I don't know how to build one

    But I've got a doorframe one, it's adjustable too

    lame thing is I had to gaffa tape it about 6 inches in from each end because the metal bar just had no grip for sweaty hands which was annoying when you're trying to pull yourself up!
