    Default Outer bicep

I was looking at my bicep the other day and noticed something; my inner bicep has a nice little "bulge" going on* but my outer bicep doesn't - it's much flatter.

Is this normal and will it ammend itself as my bicep develops or should I focus on using more exercises to develop my outer bicep?

    Thanks,

    Russ.

    * when I mean bulge, I mean width and not height.

The biceps, have two heads: inner and outer. When training the biceps, a third muscle, the brachialis, (under the bicep) is often neglected but important because it adds size, width, and shape to your arm.

To train the inner head: barbell curl, alternate dumbbell curls, barbell preacher curls, spider curls

To train the outer head: hammer curls, concentration curls, close grip barbell curls, alternate hammer curls, reverse barbell curls (open hand grip), drag curls
