    Default How much protein/simple carbs after a workout?

    I was wondering if anyone had some good numbers on how much of these things I should really have in my immediate, post-workout snack. One thing I read a while ago said 30 grams of protein, another said 15, and the simple carb quantities are all over the place. I like to eat flavored greek yogurt after a workout which has around 15-18 grams of protein and 20-25 grams of sugar. Is that good?

    You don't need either of them immediately post workout if you're taking a pre workout meal.

    Your biggest concern should still be to make sure you're getting your desired macronutrients and micronutrients each day (regardless of timing or frrequency).

    However much you feel like eating. I usually do 25g of whey and 30g of protein from boiled eggs. No simple carbs. But that's just me.
