    Default Homemade pre-workout drink

    Do any of you guys make your own pre workout drink rather than buying ready made?

    If you do what does it consist of?

    Am interested to introduce this into my workouts but budget is a big factor for me.

    Good question, I'll be interested in what answers people come up with.

    Possum, that sounds pretty simple and good. Do you make a strong shot of coffee for the caffeine or just use instant?

    there are MANY options our there. If you buy from a bulk supplier and like 6 months worth at a time, you save a ton of money. you also get to control your dosing to what you like.

    could you tell us a bit about your goals? some supplements are geared more for endurance, while some for weight lifting. while most supplements can be used for both, you seem to want to save some money so youd probably one a one or the other approach.

    Defo looking for weight lifting help.

    Am following a linear progression strength program from here made by Steve.

    Already seen good gains in strength but sometimes I feel I just dont have as much drive at the gym as other times, so figured a pre workout regime might go some way to help.

    Pretty much this, only I put in Amino Acid Flavouring. At the moment my pre workout protocol is:

    Creatine, 300 mg Caffeine, BCAA's.

    Glass of Milk Non fat Milk and 2 Bananas.


    Then half an hour hit the gym. Been feeling the best on it so far.

    In the future I want to experiment with MCT Oils pre-workout, as well as buying bulk Arganine.

    Sounds good.

    Any particular BCAA's (as in brand) or are they all much of a muchness?

    At the moment just using XTEND, but nothing is stopping you from premixing your own as well to be honest... buy them in bulk.
