If ghosts and/or spirits were real, can you even comprehend how many would just be roaming about the place?

Why would it be limited to humans? Surely we'd have billions of cow ghosts just chilling in fields?

Also, a lack of evidence against something doesn't act as proof of that thing.

Watch out of the stampeding spiritual cows!!!

Seriously, I don't believe in ghosts either. I think its all in your mind. Your mind is an amazing tool that has yet been fully understood. If you start thinking there is something there, eventually you start to believe yourself.

If there are ghost, I don't think everyone becomes a ghost. You'd only become a ghost if something is wrong or left undone. So if the cow dies unmilked it becomes a ghost.

It's just my opinion. I couldn't imagine everyone who dies becomes a ghost. And for the record, none of us really know crap about the afterlife or if there is one. I'm an agnostic in that I don't think to presume to understand all spirituality. I don't believe in Christian teachings or any of the major Religons. I lean towards buhdist or even pagan beliefs, they make the most sense. I do believe in ghost but if they are real I'm gonna say only in certain circumstances. When a Christian believes, it's called faith. What's it called when an agnostic believes in something ?

Everyone who I have met who has had paranormal experiences has been religious even slightly. Everyone who hasn't had an experience wants nothing to do with religion and thinks its a crock of s*hit. I'm not trying to stir anything, but maybe its something to think about.

I see where you're coming from, but I've had that debate with believers many a time, and it's pretty easy to win.

No, it doesn't take the same amount of faith at all - I can give you an example. One person believes that I am an alien, who also travelled time, last I time around I was Jesus, time before that I was Moses, and the time before that I was Reagan. A second person believes I'm making it up.

You cannot tell me that both those people have the same amount of "faith" involved in what they believe, even though neither can be technically proven wrong. It's obvious that one of those people is putting in "faith" and one of them is simply not believing something ridiculous.

There's no real reason for me TO believe in the supernatural, therefor it requires no faith to not believe in it. Just as I don't believe in the celestial teacup, the invisible pink unicorn, nor the flying spagetti monster. I have no reason to believe those things, so I don't.

I only believe things I have a reason to believe, anything beyond that would require faith.

It is the burden of religion to prove god not the other way round. If I said im superman, you wouldnt believe me even though you couldnt prove it, it does not require "faith" to believe that I am not superman.

Well, the Christians, in the early days, destroyed all competion, burnt the library of Alexandria, enveloped the pagan Religons through adoption of holidays, and threat of physical harm till all of Europe became Christian. Effectively they wiped away our early understanding of spirituality and spirits. The pagans had holloween, which still stands although lost its meaning. They believed this day was when the spirits could show themselves so they believed in ghost. They used the jack-o-lantern to ward off the evil ones, and originally was a gord, not a face in a pumkin. That tradition is still here. Easter was a pagan holiday as well, hense the bunny and eggs, imagery of fertility. Christmass was also one. The pine tree indoors, gift exchange and feast were a winter solstice tradition from early pagan days. The only reason I'm not pagan myself is all the actual info isn't preserved well so you have a bunch of "new age" hippys and I don't think they know what there talking about.

Could just be that you mix with more people that have a belief than those that don't.
