IF your thinking of doing them, then do them!! haha. I think there ok, try them out and see how your muscles react to them. Finding out how some exercises effect your body personaly is a lot of trial and error.
So you say you dont listin to the "big guy at the gym anymore" Instead you read articles and studys and go of what some science study on the internet says. Hows that working for ya? Big guy still big you still small...

I dont feel it, I have try those like 3 times and was a waste, I stick with bb curls, db incline curls and hammer curls, also cable curls great for warm up
I do not count reps, I make every rep count !!

    What's your current workout routine?

As Spartigus has asked, why do you specifically want to add in this exercise?

Generally speaking, the biceps are a small muscle group which can get away with a minimal amount of direct stimulation ( as they do get hit quite hard with all your pulling exercises for back ).
    Consistency is the key

Thanks guys, i currently work biceps with my back, after my back workout i do preacher curls 3sets and seated dumbbell curls. To be honest i get bored doing biceps, im not a big fan of biceps. Sometimes after back ill just do the preachers only.
Ive seen a few people do these so i thought might be a good change for the dummbell curl.

    Thanks

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me. Though try chinups if you want something new for the biceps. I too hate working biceps directly, it has been a while since I isolated them

Why not? I'm not sure what type of answer your looking for. These are a great exercise gives you some variety from the free weights and regular machines. Go for it
