    Default Pain after heavy leg press (lower back)

    Have you ever feel it? maybe its too much pressure? any thoughts, advices?

    The pain was last week when i was rdl after leg press.
    I do not count reps, I make every rep count !!

    You have to be careful about going deep on the leg press and causing your lower back to round. Make you lower back stays in contact with the pad.

    Try to keep your ass down in the seat as far as you can and keep it there through the lift. You can hold the side rails to help you keep yourself from lifting up out of the seat.

    Thanks, its a old machine and the seat is really bad, i will consider all these the next time, round back, keep my ass down, form etc

    Agreed! From the sound of it, it sounds like you may be using too much weight??? This would obviously cause poor technique and you feeling it more in your lower back than quads.

    Yerterday i went to gym and did legs, really focus on keep my back right and not round it and it works, not lower back pain and quads on fire. If someone check this thread later and have this problem keep your back neutral and tight and not round it.

    As time progresses with training we all adopt bad habits, every so often its a good idea to go back to basics and check the exercise technique.
