    Its already been said but agreed with negatives, lat pull down, using bands, gravitron machine

    and once you can do 1 than the best way would be to keep doing singles with negatives

    Pull ups are the Dogs Bollocks!!! Highly addictive and very efficicent once sucessfully incorporated in your workout ..... I figured since Pull-ups are usually like the armies Number 1 exercise have a peek at the tips/advice in the link below mate...

    Thanks for all the great advise in this thread. I'm over weight and want to do pull ups but can only get one. So I started doing the cable row and lat pulldown machines. I will now do the negatives also and keep pushing for good pullups.

    when doing the body weight rows did you feel your neck alot? I just did them Wednesday and I can really feel my neck cause I had to keep it inline.

    Do you have the dip machine with the pull up assisted weights? This will really help you until you can do more each week and increase your strength. Just lessen the weight more and more as you feel more comfortable.
