    Default Awesomely delicious protein bars!

Thought i'd share a recipe for the protein bars i make, they honestly feel like a cheat they taste that good . I Originally found the recipe on youtube so i dont take credit for it! haha

There's no cooking involved either thankfully!

    Ingredients

    7 scoops chocolate protein powder
    1 cup of oats
3 table spoons of peanut butter (chunky works well, gives them a crunch)
    3 tablespoons of honey
1/2 cup of low fat milk

    Instructions

stick it all in a bowl, mix it up and mould them into bars, depending on the size of your bars depends how many you get. I usually get around 10 out of this mix. Stick them in the fridge for a few hours then enjoy!

Unfortunately i cant remember the P/C/F ratio but i'm sure you could work it out

have a try and see how you get on

I've made similar, they always come out tasting 1000x better than any bar out there. just also about 1000x as messy though that is a fair trade off i think

haha i know! they work out to be a lot cheaper as well instead of buying them! i'm off on holiday next week and i'm bringing a batch with me as i can't live without them now! plus it will at least help me keep my protein intake up whilst i'm abroad just hoping they go in my suitcase without being considered suspicious on the X ray scan and causing a whole lot of kerfuffle!

    @Crowley

damn you man hahaha, i just spend 40$ on whey powder before i found this thread and recipe
and its blueberry, not chocolate or peanut butter.

i'm going to have to go buy some chocolate @gnc just so i can make these bars because they sound F**KING DELICIOUS

i'd rep but i dont know how to do that......

also unrelated, does your name refer to the demon crowley in supernatural, who is played by mark sheppard, who, although they refuse to admit it, is the real GEICO gecko and some how its a conspiracy?

I hate to start another thread. Any more recipes? There aren't many reviews on the M&S store. I would love to have 1 or 2 to take with me while i'm at work.

I calculated up the macronutrients for the entire batch using EAS 100% whey
    Calories: 1675
    Fat:47
    Carbs:143
    Protein:187
Divide that up into 8 bars and you get approxmately
    Calories:210
    fat:6
    carbs:18
    protein:24

Looks pretty good to me. Im going to try this recipe and then possibly tweek it a little bit to get more proteins and fat and a lil less carbs.

made these today. They taste great. Do they ever firm up any? I think the honey may have made mine too sticky. I might need to tweak the recipe a little

Gonna try this over the weekend - Bought some peanut butter but I'm too much of a fussy eater to stomach it on it's own as the texture is horrible.

Hopefully if I mix it up with something nicer tasting then I'll be able to get them down me - Will help out spreading protein intake through the day and will bump up the calories because I'll use whole milk instead.

i made these last night with elite gourmet vanilla creme and chunky natural skippy, and local honey. i tried to mix it by hand with a spoon but that was an epic fail. it was not coming together at all.

i put it all in a food processor and buzzed it until it formed a ball (a very sticky ball) and then pressed it into a bread pan that was lined with parchment paper. i greased my hands with non stick spray. (helped a ton). put in the fridge overnight and then cut into 10 bars and wrapped them in their own parchment paper. i had one today with lunch. greay texture and not overly chewy.

definately gonna have to keep a batch or three in my fridge at all times.

Finally got around to making these, they were messy as hell, chilling as we speak - Hopefully they're awesome!

Only downside is I had no choco powder left so had to use vanilla!

I made these but they ended up being to sticky. What kind of pan did you put them in? They tasted good but I think I wasted so much with it being stuck to the pan and the wax paper I tried to use.
