lol yea, when done right. your calf muscles burn after 20-30 minutes. Youd have to be in pretty good shape to do it for an hour.

gets worst once you start adding technical things too.

my advice, pick up a cheap (<10$) rope until you get the hang of it. If you really like it then spend the money on an Aero Speed Hyperformance (40$) and go crazy.

    overall 20-30 minutes works.

10-30 minutes is good. However, the rope is more of a conditioning tool than a calorie-burning tool. Cardio results are great from the rope.

    An hour?!? Crazy talk.

If you haven't jumped rope in a while, I'll bet you get ****ed off about tripping on the rope before you get too winded. At least that's what happened to me.

Yeah, an hour is a long freaking time to jump rope. I like to do it in rounds (i.e. five 2-minute rounds, three 5-minute rounds, etc.) with a minute of rest between. Also, when you get better, you can add more technical stuff like boxer's shuffle, running in place, double skips, etc.

yea, its one of the fastest RPM ropes out. The bearing are also much smoother, allowing for fluid movement. Its near impossible to get tangled even during technical jumps. THe bearings and rope are also replaceable, so itll last you a lifetime.
