    Default p90x and advice

    What's up guys,

So I have just recently finished the p90x workout. I just wanted to see how it would improve my strength. However, this program kinda worked but I feel that the results are not enough to what I expected.

First of all, I want to gain more muscle. I barely have that as you can see haha. I did improve on some aspects of training but not as much as I wanted to.

At first I couldn't do pull ups but now I can only do about 10. What is wrong here??? Idk what I can do to improve on that part!!!!!

So I need help on trying something new. I can lift max 35 LBS. (Barbell).... I can bench 115... But I feel I am not getting anywhere. I drink protein after my work out. I try to eat as much as I can. (I have a fast metabolism)

I need advice on what I should do.

    Thanks guys.

    PS

What does "thanks for the rep" mean?? I have been seeing that on many peoples profiles? Random question..I am still kind of new to this site.

If you want to get bigger you need to add more weights in than p90 has, but at least you have started with something. i did it this summer and had pretty decent results but I am a woman, and just wanted to lose some weight.

in the bottom left hand corner of everyone's post is a green "+" sign. if the person responds with good information then "rep" them by clicking on it.

P90X isn't a program for getting big. It is a great program for becoming athletic. As far as Pull ups go. When I weighed 140lbs I could do a lot more than I can do now at 180 although I am a whole lot more powerful now. the reason is simple. The change in weight and weights has an exponential effect. People don't realize that. I would say with what you discribed you made incredible gains. You went from 0-10. Be proud of that and continue to work at it. The big gain for the first few years is easy. The little gains you make for the years following you will really work for.
