I don't. I usually walk in, think to myself "I should warm up today" and then proceed to walk past the cardio equipment straight to the weight area. Bad habits are hard to break.

I used to do this religiously up until a few months ago. Now I just do thorough warm ups on the lift that I'm doing first. I felt no benefit from using cardio as a warm-up.

Always warm up with some cardio before lifting. Cool down in the sanua after lifting if that counts as a "cool" down.

I usually do a 5 min cardio warmup, a shoulder-specific warmup (if I'm doing chest or shoulders), and then start with an empty bar and work my way up to my working weight with sets of 5 or less.

I'll walk to the rec center--give of take half a mile--jump on an elliptical for 3 minutes or so and then lift. Lately my cool downs consist of walking back, but I'll try adding 5 minutes on an elliptical.

    yes and no...

I'm walking around preparing stuff, prior to cardio and then I ease in for the first 5 minutes, and ease off for the last 5 minutes and then I'm walking around again...so I figure that counts as warm-up and cool-down time.

With weights, no, never do a cardio warm-up...but the weight loads are not mega-heavy, so they don't really warrant much warm-up.

ALWAYS. Everything works better once I have a little sweat going. Plus a little stretching and a warm up set for each muscle group. I NEVER used to do this... Then I ****ed my shoulder and back off once and it took weeks of doing nothing for them to be ready to slowly work back into it. No surgery needed just a lot of boring careful recovery. Lesson learned.

I only do cool downs when i take some pre work out supp. I feel like 20 mins of treadmill immediately after courses it through me if i happened to take it later in the evening.

    Define warmups/cool down?

I normally do stuff that is application-specific to what I am going to do.

    like

    Bird Dogs.
    Fire Hydrants
    Yoga twist
    Supine Bridge
    Leg swings
    etc.

if that is what you call a warm up, then i guess so lol
