Default What is the dumbest workout you have ever put yourelf on?

Back around 94' or 95 I decided that I wanted bigger guns and a bigger chest. So I went through all the MuscleMags and what not and took every Chest and Biceps exercise they had in there and put them in my work out. I was drinking tons of weight gainer every day and not counting calories so I figured that I needed an extreeme Workout to go with all the calories 8000 of them in just mass gainers (Mega Mass to be exact.) I was 17 years old and invincable so why the F not.

Anyway here was my work out.

    Chest
    Flat BP 3 sets
    Flat DB BP 3 sets
    Pec Dec 3 sets
    Cross over Cables 3 sets
    Incline DB BP 3 sets
    Decline BP 3 sets

    Biceps
    Alternating DB Curls 3 sets
    Barbell Curl 3 sets
    Preacher Curl 3 sets
    Hammer Curl 3 sets

    Legs
    Leg press 3 sets
    Leg extension 3 sets
    Leg curl 3 sets
    Calf raises 3 sets

That was it I had no back, shoulders, traps, abbs, or direct triceps movements. There it is laugh and point, I still do when I think about it. There really is a reason why I posted this crap, because I see so many people not research anything and then post simular stupid workouts on here asking if there is anything wrong with them. This is the honest to god truth about my work out habits in the 90s no exaggeration here. Feel free to post here if you have ever done a stupid workout and kept it in the closet.
    Slow bulking to 190 lbs.
    Current weight 181.2 lbs.

Probably just doing bicep burls. Year ago i used to just lift 10 curls each hand x 3 sets a couple of times a week. And that was it.

For whatever reason this was a staple for 2007

    Chest

    3x10 flat db press
    3x10 incline db press
3x10 decline db press---ha the bench used at home would tilt sometimes, not safe at all.
3x10 pullovers---and oh yes I did them wrong.
3x10 flat db flyes---hugged the barrel way too much.

    Arm Day

    superset
3x10 concentration curls w/ 3x10 overhead db extensions
3x10 seated alternating curls w/ 3x10 close grip pushups
3x10 standing db hammers w/ 3x10 db one handed overhead xtensions---very weak weight I might add!
1x10concentration/1x10alternating/1x10hammer w/1x10 overhead db x's/1x10 cg push's/1x10 db one handed overhead x's----The first bi x corresponding with the first tri x---rest then move to the next.

    Back

    3x10 seated db rows
    3x10 seated cable rows
    3x10 lat pulldowns
20 mins rowing machine---most times I would quit at 10-15mins

    chest day again.

    arm day again.

I would only train legs on a sixth day, and the only time that happened is if someone challenged me to do it. Which rarely happened. Shoulder presses intimidated me and I pursed out of it big time. I am red in the face right now typing this. aghhh what a tangled web we weave.

When I first started, I just did whatever. Didn't think, just did. I'd see someone else do it, and when they were done, I'd go do it. I'd pack on a ton of weight and have at. Form was a foreign word to me.

Oh yeah, and of course... I paid for that.

Why would I only do half the workout on each arm? Nope, that would be 600 reps per arm

In a sitting, I guess you could call it an endurance rest-pause burn set

Well, I quit it after a couple of months, mainly because I got bored of the time it took just to do one exercise...but I can't say that it didn't make any difference

Ive never really done bad training, but man I had some fukkked up diets!

Couple years ago I was running 3-4 miles a day and doing some home made plyo circuits.

My diet was "carbs are evil and to be avoided at all costs" and I replaced protein with Size-On creatine because I thought if I had both Id explode.

Once decided it would be good to do an old workout of Steve Michalik's (at the time, not bearing in mind the guy used to munch steroids like candy). Chest, biceps, triceps, shoulders one day. Legs and back next day. Day of rest. Repeat both upper and lower body workouts.

I lost a little weight from doing it, but it tired me out so badly, I had to stop after a few weeks (didn't really know about overtraining at the time, I was newbie and thought "more was better")

ive been working out in the gym for about 8 years and doing legs for only 4 years now. i knew alot about working out, good form and stuff but i really didnt know anything.....i realized there was something called 'overtraining' only 2 years ago. i used to think working out each muscle twice a week was better than once.....a workout i used to do in 2007 was as followed....

    M-F
    chest/bis
    shoulder/back
    legs
    chest/bis
    shoulder/back

as i did see some gains, i remember a trainer gave me another workout, working out each muscle once a week, after about a month i went back to my twice a week becasue i 'felt' it more and didnt want to wait an entire week to do chest again....

i have much better gains now obviously.....
