Default Brown rice vs white rice

    Hey all.....

Is there a real difference between brown and white rice? For instance, is brown rice complex carbs and white rice simple carbs. The reason I am asking is because I went to BJs and purchased a big bag of what I though what brown rice, but turned out to be white rice. Since I have all this rice, I should probably eat it. But the question is, should I be eating white rice? Is is bad for me? Should i just say f it and get the brown rice? Thanks.

    Marc

That is true, but are you bulking or cutting? If you are bulking I say eat it. If you are cutting maybe you could use it post workout or something... Idk that is prolly not the best idea. Save till bulk?

    UGH!

Rice is not "BAD" for you, period. Brown, White, Yellow.

Yes White rice has a smidge less fiber than Brown Rice. But it still has a role in your diet.

It will not make you fat just because it is white rice. What makes people fat is over eating the white rice and destroying their calorie deficit. (If that is what you are concerned about).

So figure out how many calories are in a serving of white rice, use it in your meals, and make sure you stay at or below your daily calorie needs and you should still "get cut" and "Lose fat".

right niw I am currently bulking. In one serving of white rice (1 cup), there is 38 grams of carbs, 4 g of protein, and 0 g of fat. So overall its ok to eat?

    Perfect answer.

Sometimes I wonder why people don't read before asking
