If your bone was moving in a way it wasn't supposed to, you'd be having more than a little pain

Can you give some more details? Does it hurt all of the time or only when you do certain movements (if so which ones)? Where exactly on the shoulder does it hurt?

Sounds like improper form, too much weight, and a shoulder injury!!

I'd suggest you use a wicked light weight and do it the way you are and see if there is pain. Why not do reverse flies, aren't they the same?

Sounds like a rotator cuff injury to me but I'm only talking from personal experience rather than medical training so I'd like Yitmy to confirm really.

Do you exercise your rotator cuff muscles at all? Internal/External cable rotations and the "Emptying the can" movement with light dumbells are good for that. If you're not warming them up before going into your heavy shoulder or chest pressing exercises, you will end up injuring them.

This article has some good info' to keep you going until Yitmy can advise further:

    Default Same

I had the exact same problem. The little bone that sticks out at the top, and as soon as you touch it it seems to burn.

I'm telling you. Take 1 week off of weights all together. If its still bad then go to your doctors and see what they say

Trust me mate, it went in that week, and now I'm completely back on form
Pain is perceptive and can be blocked out with enough concentration. Block it out, and that extra rep or two won't be an issue.
