Default not sore after back workout

Is it unusual if the muscle group that you work out isn't sore the day after you work it out? My back hasn't been getting sore for a while but my biceps ARE getting sore, and i was worried that i'm using my biceps more and not using the muscles in my back. I did bent over rows 8x8x8x5 adding weight on the last set, wide grip pulldowns 7x7x7, and seated cable rows 10x10x10. any input would be appreciated as well as if any of you guys have an awesome back workout you wanna share because i'm always open to new workouts.

Its normal not to feel soreness in the back when you have more experience with training. If your feeling your biceps more then I would say that your using too heavy a weight and using the biceps to help you with the weight. Drop the weight down and concentrate on strict exercise technique and the back muscles contracting. Remember the exercise is more important than the weight used.

yea some workouts you don't really get sore till the next day or so. concentrate on form in the beginning, weight will come.

I never had my back sore until I really started concentrating on my back muscles contracting and pulling the weight.. just practice on getting perfect technique and use visualize your back pulling the weight, not your arms

And i would say the easiest one to keep form and feel the pump during the exercise is deadlifts.

right now..im deadlifting 30lbs(excluding bar) and eventhough the weight is low. I had a good pump in my lower back. i LOVE it. and it is not that hard to keep the form. that's why i heart this exercise.

I like deadlifts because I can lift more in them than ANY other exercise.. My squat 1RM is my deadlift 7RM ..

Yep this is true; I just did this for the first time really today too (slow reps) and complete focus on contracting the muscles; the mind-visualization is soo important. Rep+ bro
