Ive been doing a bit of reading about casein protein. For what I gather, I should be taking casein protein before bed because it's absorbed slower and will benefit my muscle growth more. But is there really that much difference that I should worry about changing from whey to casein? Thanks.

The short answer, yes. IMHO it's definately worth buying a seperate bucket of casein and taking it before bed. I have a fast metabolism, meaning I wake up every morning hungry as f^&k regardless of how much I ate before bed. So I know that my body will burn through whey in no time.
That's my opinion anyways, others may differ.

Basically casein protein is milk protein. It's takes much longer for your body to break down the protein (up to about 7 hours). So in theory, if you take it before bed your body will have protein to use for repairing muscle for hours.
