i take my protein with milk. but in the post workout shake i take with water. in some cases maybe a sacrifice but to get all the benefits have to be like that. with water, protein and dextrose realise more fast wich are we want after the training session. with milk the realise is more slow wich is good to take in the morning, between the meals and before bed.

Okay, so say you take it with milk.

Which is better, semi-skinned or normal milk?

The less fat, the better.

Fat slows down the nutrients in your body, which is why you shouldn't eat/drink fat post-workout, but it's sometimes beneficial before bed.

water for whey post workout. milk for casein before bed. if you need milk with your whey use skim. less fat the better. I add fruit to mine such as banana, strawberries, rasberry, blueberry, etc. taste much better! also all natural peanut butter.

I don't know what all the fuss is about...

I take ice cubes and dip it in to my protein powder and lick it like a big 'ol popsicle.
Delish!!

Doug - that's genius! I could have the over-the-calf size for Post Workout and then use the footy socks for the other times!
Outstanding my friend!

And...Why don't we have a white sock smiley yet?
Where's Damien!?

If you're trying to put on mass, is it still best to use lowfat or skim milk? You would think that something with more fat (such as 2% or whole) would be better for calories, but I guess you need to consider what kind of fat it is and where it's coming from?

And Doug: That was disgusting about the socks! lol
