Hi, in your profile it states that you have just started, if that is the case then you should start seeing resuts in approx six weeks, thats with both good nutrition and training.

Have a look at This Routine for advice on training for beginners...

Any questions then post them up...

Hey Langebaan - welcome to M&S!
As long as you've gotten a go ahead from your doctor and you have a decent level of testosterone - YES, you can still build some muscle.

If not taking a good age appropriate multi-vitamin, I would suggest you pick one up.
I would also up your calcium intake (A couple TUMS once a day) just to help the bones a little.
Take in some protein after your workouts - a protein supplement may help; but if you like chicken, turkey, tuna or other fish - this would be an ideal time to eat them.

Good for you!! I am 70 years old and work out 3 to 4 times a week for
an hour or so, you have got to lift heavy in order to build muscle and
believe me it's alot harder to put on muscle at a late age in life especially
whe our Test in in the low 200 range, but you can still get results.
DON'T GIVE UP keep pushing, your body loves workouts and if you are
deciated you will see results in time not as quick as a youngster but soon.
Good Luck....... and don't ever quit
