Default 2nd week ..

Hi,
Its my 2nd week following a fairly basic program trying to get my muscles used to working out again. previously i haven't trained for about 4 months. How long do think its neccesary for me to follow the basic routine before i can go onto my 4 day split and get a bit intense?
Cheers

I would suggest increasing sets per week for three weeks and then on the fourth week go back onto a normal routine
