Default 17 year old male, high metabolism--needs help

Hi guys,

I've been going to a gym for about 8 months and have recently stopped going as it really was too much money down the drain. My biceps have gotten slightly bigger but not much else, I think my fault going into this gym were my goals weren't very clear.

I don't wish to bulk myself up to a point where I have the body of Batista from WWE..and just for the record, I'm not the biggest fan of weightlifting. Like I do a bit of it but it really is a struggle for me as I don't enjoy it, and I look at these guys who spend almost everyday weightlifting and I'd really prefer to find an alternative if possible. As I said I don't mind weightlifting, but I would prefer not to have to do it 5 times a week.

I'd like maintain my small frame as much as I can while getting a chest that look like the guy second on the right (G2) below..along with a four/six pack kinda like Beckham's.

I've gotten a lot of good exercises for the arms that work for me, but I'm struggling getting something that works for my chest. Along with some weight exercises, is there any other form of resistance training I can do where I can get equivalent results or is weights the only way to achieve anything similar to the guy in the photo? What can I do for my abdominals also?

Thank you and kind regards.

PS: As for my diet....I have a big bowl of oatmeal every morning, I try and take sandwiches/yogurts/protein shakes every 2-3 hours before dinner where I have something along the lines of pasta, lamb, chicken, meatballs, brockilli, rice, beans or something like that I usually mix one of the meats I mentioned with the vegetables and rice..if that makes sense. And that pretty much sums up my diet, I hardly if ever touch junkfood.

Alrite mate,

To save me repeating what other people have already said, I'd recommend you go take a look at this thread, muscletrainerdh has recommended some good articles to another lad like yourself.

15 & Too Skinny

I do understand your problems with motivation, but thats something only you can fix. I recommend you read up on as much of this site as you can and...

A) Get your diet fixed, (the calorie calculator on the link above will help you out with that. I really cant stress enough how important diet is for you to start making gains and getting those muscles you want.

B) Get a good routine going, (of course also found on this site) get lots of rest and keep healthily eating (lots) and it will do so much more than trying to get heeuuge by your 18th birthday and overtraining.

Diet + A good Workout + Knowledge(this website) + Good Rest = Results

Results = Motivation, which = More Results

Good luck my man, take it slow, learn as much as you can about working out/diet etc, and if you are willing to the put the sustained effort in, you are completely capable of getting a body like those pics you submitted.
