    Hi mate
    2-1-2 rep timing is the standard for muscle building routines, for example 2-1-2 on bench press would be 2 seconds to lower the bar, one second pause then two secons to push back to the top of the movement again, it's just to stop you from working too fast and using momentum to move the weight.
