I dunno Jas - everyone is different - your just going to have to try it. Some guys do have a protein shake and a banana pre work out. If I did that however, I would puke it all up. Fasted training is obviously working for me so far.
Nothing. My weight training is fasted. After lifting, I drink a tri blend protein shake mixed with milk, and then do cardio. I do take 1 M.R. right before lifting for energy and Xtend during lifting for recovery. I also drink a Casein shake right before bed.
The pain you experienced could be from a number of things.
Even when performing an exercise with STRICT form there is always a possibility of injury.
Your muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments are all under tremendous tension and stimulation from the weights used.
Make sure you ice the area and see a physician if necessary.
