OK- I just thought it might have changed since the goal wasn't hypertrophy but strength. Very well- I will carry on with 2-1-2. Mark Rippetoe stated that EZ-Curl Bars weren't as effective because the grip isn’t as suppine as it is on a straight bar. This means the bicep isn’t being worked properly, because the palm must be in the most suppine position it can be (straight bar) in order for the most muscle fibres to be recruited into the movement. I hate curls with EZ bars anyway. I only use them for Tricep Extensions.

Hey BigJosh- On a strength routine- whats the rep timing for the assistance exercises? Is it the same as hypertrophy or is it quicker.

Alright sounds good! Just be careful you dont get injured again, take it easy at first. I got my log book and my chalk- I'm so wired up to hit the 5x5 today! I can't wait until week 9 or so- I plan on running this program for around 15 weeks.

I'm starting Bill Star's 5x5 come monday at +500 over BMR. Interested in seeing what gains I'll get from it. First few weeks on paper look light though. Bodybuilding gets boring with the whole "slow controlled movement" stuff. I like strength better cause its so Explosive and Violent. lol. I also want to move heavy ass weights! What do you mean by "light hypertrophy" like 10-12 reps lighter weight?

Man that sounds rough! He told you to do a complete layoff with no rehabilitation? Just no training at all? That site is pretty good when browsing. You can look at different vids of peoples horrific squat forms etc. theres alot of useful info floatinga round that site. When you ok to train again are you going to do strength or bodybuilding?

"Physical strength is the most important thing in life. This is true whether we want it to be or not. As humanity has developed throughout history, physical strength has become less critical in our daily existence, but no less important to our lives. Our strength, more than any other thing we possess, still determines the quality and quantity of our time here in these bodies"
