Hi im reasonably new to working out (on and off for 3months) and have been doing a bunch of research on different things i.e. Calorie intakes, various work outs, sufficient rests etc. I find that alot of the information i am reading is conflicting and quite frankly im lost! I still go to the gym with the same passion that maybe my persistence may equal musle gain. Ive learned that i could be a possible 'Ectomorph' body type as im generally slim, 11stone (154 pounds), around 5'10 (70inches/177.8cm) and im 23 years old. I have a very fast motabolism, as i find it hard to gain weight regardless of how much im eating. Ive worked out my calorie intake should be 4,847 +500 according to my body weight, height and age. This should be:

    20% fats -
1g of protein per pound (154g of protein)
    the rest carbs.

Im just wondering if this type of diet along with my 3 day workout (http://www.muscleandstrength.com/wor...s-workout.html) would help me to gain musle mass and help me to get bigger?

im not terribly smally right now, i do have some form. i just feel like my diet isnt doing me any justice and feel like i could be gaining more outside the gym, so that my gains in the gym are more visual. (basically i feel like im building muscle but cant see it as my diet is not allowing me to add weight)

sorry if i sound like an idiot, im just sick of going round in cirlces with conflicting information.....

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i only posted because the other posts seemed to get really good feedback and the forum users seem really friendly.
