Lifting weights without proper nutrition is like trying to build a house with no bricks, you can work at it all you want, but it aint gonna build.

It will if its a log cabin! But on a serious note: thats great advice. People keep asking questions about why they aren't seeing changes then you ask, whats your diet like and they're clueless! Gotta set up a diet before you set up your training, it makes things a whole lot easier!!!!

hmmm havent seen a new tip of the day for a while.....

so decided to bump it up again, nothin special mind

i see many people very new to training asking what supplements they should be taking (creatine, no x, nano vapor ect), firstly get some experience under your belt, and until then the only supplement you will need is protien if your diet is not giving you enough.

(sorry if thats been said on this already, just decided to add summat rather 'obvious' to it - also bored )

Don't know if this has been said but my advice is simple. Make a pit stop before you jump on the treadmill! Especially with all the water you might be drinking (or should be) through out the day this is an idea so you won't have to jump off in the middle or hold it while you walk/run. This goes for any equipment I guess. =]

I don't know if this has been used yet, but I figured it out a couple of days ago. Its for people who dont have a lot of space in their shaker cup:

When mixing up a post workout shake, always put in the dextrose first since it sinks to the bottom and then the protein.

For those who work out at home.
Check all the nuts, bolt and screws on a regular basis.
Started to do one arm rows last night. As I put my knee on the bench and leaned forward the bench dropped to the decline position. A nut had backed off, allowing the bolt to drop out.
The nut on the bench got lucky and caught an upright before he went face first into the cable apparatus.
