Getting A Little Into It
Ok, so I've been working out for a while now, and despite having still relatively high bodyfat (I think my last calculation was about 46%) I swear I can see something peeking through the fat. The feeling of actually being able to see something when you flex in the mirror was quite a charged feeling for me.
But now I want to push it further. I want to get big. I want to have that physique where people will look at me and think; "I am so not gonna pick a fight with her." I'm not talking gigantic, but bigger than a woman 'naturally' does.
I've read most of the articles on women and bodybuilding, and I would really like to discuss it. I read that women need testosterone supps to bulk like a man does, do you need a doctors prescription for those? I've got a long way to go, and getting bodyfat down is still a major goal for me. I'm thinking beyond that now, not just the "I want to lose weight", I'm now "I want to be a bodybuilder."

Do you really like the looks of a female body builder? I can appreciate a toned/slightly musclelur looking woman but to much makes a female look very much like a male and that does NOT make my sticker peck out at all..........
I am glad your enjoying the results of your hard work but don;t get carried away...lol

I'm with Tatooed Lifter. I don't take any supps of any kind, and hubby says he's jealous of my biceps, still need to get rid of some fat that I gained thru injury and non-exercise though. The nice thing is, they are solid, and surprisingly, I even had female nurses want them flexed just so they can have a feel and say 'wow!', so I'd try and avoid the testosterone route...everybody knows what it is that they want though, and it comes down to personal choice ultimately...

I'm more curious about it than anything else. There's this little voice in the back of my mind that thinks, "Hey, I wonder if I could do it." And the only realy way to know that is if I actually try.
However, I don't seriously think I can. More because I was talking to my alpha male, and he flat out said. "Yuck." Not much room for agruement there.

Which leaves me to ask, are there any people at all who find the very muscular woman attractive?

Don't know about too many of today's women bodybuilders, but back in the 80's thought Cory everson was extremely hot. But, she would probably almost be considered a fitness model by today's standards

I never ever thought big muscle-bound women were attractive, I'd see pics of them and wonder why the hell they did that to themselves.
Since starting lifting, I've come to realise just how much work they must put into it, to look like that. I guess I've got a lot more respect for them now than I used to.

That's where I am Wolfy - I totally respect that kind of dedication and commitment...I mean really, it is unnatural when you think about the traditional way a woman is usually viewed.
Can't say I find it attractive, but I tremendously respect it.
And back to your first question...yes you could get there and yes you may need some sort of supplementation once you get to a certain point.
My opinion on this is that you would still need to strip yourself down to a lower bodyfat so that you see what the body parts look like and what needs built better or backed off of because you are all ready there.
You would also need to get in more touch with the nutrition and the effects of carbs, proteins, fats as they relate to bulking and as they relate cutting.

I'm a little late noticing this thread. very interesting. I've toyed with the idea of going all out with getting "ripped" etc.
Do you know what I've noticed though? The female bodybuilders don't actually look grotesque at all if they're not flexing and posing y'know?
So, maybe your alpha male would actually quite like the extreme bodybuilder in you - he just doesn't know it yet....
go for it!!
(minus the testosterone...until maybe after menopause )
maybe we could start a little M&S Girls Get Ripped competition?
