Default Decline Sit Ups

Decline Sit Ups and Decline Dumbbell Situps seem like the best ab exercises to me. What do you all think?

I'm not very motivated to work on my abs because they don't seem like a very important day to day muscle group.

Abs are an important core muscle, you should train by working decline situps, flat situps, leg raises, weighted situps and turning movements into your ab routine

Hi mate,
Personally I find declines target the upper abs the most. For well balanced development you need exercises that target upper, middle and lower abs, as well as the obliques. Obviously you won't train them all in a workout but pick a couple of exercises and stay with those for a while, then switch to others for different parts and so on. As Shaun has said a combination of movements os best.

There are so many different ab exercises it's hard to say which is the "best". Use different exercises every time you work your abs

Declines use to many leg/glutes for my liking, cable crunches and hanging leg raises are my favourite and most effective imo

Hanging leg raises to me are the best. Anything to do with your legs being raised and lowered are a good exercise for abs. Also, the first thing you see when someone walks up to you is their chest, bi's and "abs". You gotta nice chest, nice bi's and a belly that jiggles when you walk... Not me dude!

If you want good abs, dont do situps. This exercise uses hip flexors and can cause lower back pain....Crunches are far better...

Is there any way to do cable crunches with a lat tower, dumbell, or barbell?

You can do cable crunches with a Lat tower, especially if you have a rope.

How? And are cable crunches a pretty good all round exercise for the abs?
