Default 4500 calories

So i just did that thing and it says i need to take in 4500 calories but i would like to lose 50 pounds i currently 294.5 pounds and my fat free body weight is 220 pounds So im supose to cut 500 calories off of that which would be 4000 calories? That seem really high if i want to lose 50 pounds, and also it says high proteien low carbs so should i do a 50/30/20 ratio or what?

They key is that you should want to lose 'fat' not 'weight'. All these crazy diets you see on TV like eat cereal for your meals etc cause you to take in no where near enough calories and you therefore lose a lot of muscle and water weight... but you hold on to all your fat because your body goes into starvation mode. So although it looks good on the scales it probably wont look too good in the mirror.

Intaking a slight calorie defect and performing cardio will allow your body to burn fat and steady losses of 1-2 lbs per week will have you looking a lot better as well as being healthy!

Just get stuck in to it!

Remember that your diet will accoutn for 60-70% of your losses, if you are not eating properly or having too many 'cheat' meals then your gains will not come.

Get your diet set and stick to it this is the hardest part about cutting.

The easy bit is the cardio. just do what you can when you can, morning LIT cardio works well and anything after your weight training is also good, try and get at least 3 good sessions in a week (30 - 40 min) and the pounds will start dropping off.

You should be fine to start with walking, it's supposed to be low intensity so whatever that is for you
