Both whey and casein protein work differently in the body

Casein protein regulates the release of amino acids in the blood stream at a steady pace, but the benefits of whey protein on the the other hand is because of its quick absorbtion, it leads to a 68% increase in protein synthesis compared to only 31% from casein

What I use for my clients (in the bed time meal) is a top quality whey protein isolate because of its superior amino score and a product called Udo's Ultimate Blend, this is a blend of essential fats, totally organic, and has the right ratio's of omega 3,6,9, and is available from health food shops, the fat delays the digestion of the whey protein, so you have a superb meal, ......But do not use the oil in the post training drink as this is the time that you want a quick absorbtion of amino acids and the higher increase in protein synthesis

Hey Dietguru...

I found that product you were talking about (Udo's) and am wondering how much I should take of it and how I should take it. I am going to try what you suggested and have it before bed with my protein shake.

Thanks in advance!
